How to find your wallet receive address
Open the receiving wallet or service, choose the intended account and network, then use its Receive or Deposit screen. Copy the address from that screen.
Worked example
| Step | Check | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Choose account and asset | Wallets may manage many accounts |
| 2 | Read network label | Same ticker can exist on multiple chains |
| 3 | Read memo/tag and minimum-deposit instructions | Services can require extra information |
| 4 | Compare full copied address | Avoid history and clipboard substitutions |
Self-custody and service deposits differ
A self-custody wallet shows account identifiers under your control. An exchange deposit page may impose asset, network, memo and crediting restrictions. Receiving capability must be confirmed by the destination’s own instructions.
Worked decision
If a deposit screen says USDC on Solana but a sending screen is set to Ethereum, stop and reconcile the network choices. Replacing the destination with the USDC token contract does not solve the mismatch.
Common pitfalls
- Never use a token contract as your personal deposit address.
- A recovery phrase is unnecessary for finding or sharing a receive address.
